Johns Island 2006
On Saturday, August 12, I went up to Johns Island in Washington's scenic San Juan Islands. My uncle Bob booked a seaplane to bring himself, my aunt, my cousin Jessica, and me to visit my cousins Bobby and Lucas at Camp Nor'wester (www.norwester.org).
The Most Patriotic Hotel Ever
The Holiday Inn Conference Center Lehigh Valley / Allentown, where I stayed during the weekend of July 22, 2006, is undoubtedly the most patriotic hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything about the place is American, right down to the Mexican immigrants cleaning the rooms and bussing the tables.
